Sick of always having to explain Fanconi Anaemia? Join us for a cuppa on Saturday 12th October in Edinburgh and chat with people who just get it.
When you or a loved one live with a rare condition, it can be so useful to meet people with the same or a similar rare condition as you or your child. This is why we are bringing our rare communities together for an informal and fun afternoon with cake and coffee!
Drop by for a coffee in one of four locations around the country, hosted by people from our charities. Jeannie from Fanconi Hope will be hosting in Edinburgh, with other locations hosted by members of the support team from The Aplastic Anaemia Trust. (The photos above were taken at this event in September.)
We know that it can be hard to commit to something when you have a rare condition, so if you are interested, but not sure you will be able to make it, sign up anyway, that way you’ll get the information nearer the time, and you can see how you feel on the day.
Why should you come?
- So you can have a cup of tea or coffee with someone who you don’t have to explain your condition to
- Enjoy a really good chinwag with someone about the symptoms/side effects that are bothering you at the moment
- To learn all about the support available from Fanconi Hope and our partner charities
- There will be cake!
Book your place
We’re running this event in collaboration with our partner charities, so please book your place at the coffee morning via The Aplastic Anaemia Trust website, using the right link below. Registering in advance helps us plan for numbers and is very helpful, but it is also fine for you to simply turn up on the day if you would prefer.
