One of the key initiatives of the FA Europe Network is the creation of a Virtual Tumour Advisory Board (VTAB), to allow doctors to submit difficult cases to FA experts across Europe, with the initial focus being on head and neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma. This is an incremental development where in the initial stage monthly meetings will be held to discuss cases submitted. In the second phase, patient case data will be stored and analysed to help determine best practice treatments, and in the final phase, the aim is to bank tissue samples to enhance research opportunities across Europe. We are pleased to announce that the first meeting will be held in January under the Board leadership of Dr Eunike Velleuer and a small number of specialists. Further specialists will be added as they are identified and indicate their willingness to share their expertise.
